  17. Thanks Manuel for the suggestion to turn off the render display. This did
  18. work for 31 frames and then the monitor went blue with alot of numbers and
  19. cryptic letters.When I rebooted the computer, I got a message,  "at least one
  20. service or driver failed during system startup." 
  21.  I think my problem is with the PVR. When I opened up the player, I got a
  22. dialog box with the heading DPS DRIVER ERROR LOG. In the dialog box it reads,
  23. " Danger! SCSI error: unknown. Sense key=B."  This dialog box appeared
  24. yesterday, but I didn't think anything of it since the Perception played all
  25. of my previous animations without any problems. Maybe this somehow corrupted
  26. Lightwaves ability to render more than one frame at a time, I don't know. I
  27. will try to get in touch with DPS tomorrow. My past experience with their
  28. tech support has been excellent, so I'm not worried about getting help from
  29. them. 
  30.  Unfortunately, I have to wait until tomorrow. I have uninstalled the PVR
  31. software, but when trying to reinstall it (ver 2.51), the installation stops
  32. during disk 1 install and a dialog box comes up saying , "Either a new driver
  33. was installed or some files could not be installed because they are currently
  34. in use by other programs in the system. To allow for proper operation of the
  35. new program, you should restart your system at this time." During reboot, the
  36. Service Control Manager dialog box comes up saying, "at least one service or
  37. driver failed during system startup. Use Event Viewer to examine the event
  38. log for details."  In the Event Viewer it says, " the following boot-start or
  39. system-start drivers failed to load. DPS PVR."  Any suggestions for me to try
  40. from fellow LW PVR owners before Monday would be greatly appreciated.
